Lauri Wood
Founder & Director; High School & Ensembles Choir Director and High School Hand Chime Choir Director
Lauri received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, and has completed over 35 years of teaching both privately and in classrooms in Maryland and Indiana. In 2007, choirs were added to the Central Indiana Home School Band as a choral component. In 2013, the choirs became a separate music academy with a yearly enrollment of over 100 students. She is the director of the high school bell choir and the high school and collegiate choirs. She currently teaches piano, voice, and flute at Woodridge Music Studio in Martinsville and Ellettsville. She is also the choral accompanist for the Martinsville High School Choral Department and an ISSMA instrumental and vocal accompanist.
Carly Fitzgerald
Asst. Academy Director, Preschool Prodigies©️ Director & Beginning Elementary Director
Carly is a former high school choir member, and is the daughter of the founder. She is the accompanist for the high school choir and ensembles and collegiate choir. She received an Associate’s Degree in Early Childcare and Development from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. She has taught at Rainbow Preschool in Greenwood, Lifeline Fine Arts Christian Academy in Mooresville, and Ogden Music in Franklin. She currently teaches private piano and voice at Woodridge Music Studio in Martinsville.
Melissa Scott
Web Administrator
Melissa has a background in in website administration and design, desktop publishing, and content creation. She is a wife and homeschool mom. Besides being a wife and mother, she loves music, writing, and speaking about The Lord and His Word, and being the shopkeeper of a small lake shop she co-owns with her husband, Jeff. The Scott family has been with Woodridge Music Academy in some capacity since nearly its beginning. They are enjoying a season now with only two high school sons left at home, nine grown daughters, several of whom are married, and eleven adorable grandchildren, so far.
Corey Kennedy
Academy Secretary
Corey has a bachelor’s degree in education and is currently working on her masters degree in Career Training Education curriculum.
She has 6 daughters and one grandson. The Kennedy family has been with Woodridge since Spring 2021.
Kylee Davis
Administrative Assistant
Kaylee previously worked as a CNA at The Springs in Mooresville and brings a strong background in organization and client care.
She is married and has three children, ages 11. 8, and 7.
In addition to her administrative experience, she is the owner of Rustic Wanderlust Photography and is an accomplished photographer, published in multiple magazines.
Joy Anna Wall
String Ensemble Director
Joy Anna began playing the violin at age ten, and has completed her Grade 9 certificate with the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada. She has taught violin for over ten years, and especially enjoys coaching chamber groups. Joy Anna believes that making music with others is one of the best ways to have fun!
Alicia Moore
Intermediate Elementary Choir Director, Elementary Hand Chime Director
Alicia is a previous high school and collegiate choir member. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Penn View Bible Institute and a Master’s in Music Education from Bob Jones University. She has completed 8 years teaching in Pennsylvania and Indiana. Alicia currently teaches private piano and voice lessons and is the Vocal Music and Theatre teacher for Lighthouse Christian Academy.
Bethanie Baughman
Flute Ensemble Director
Bethanie graduated from Maranatha Baptist University with a degree in Church Music with a proficiency in flute. She taught a variety of classes Tabernacle Christian School, including elementary and junior high music. She has enjoyed teaching private flute and piano lessons for over 15 years. She loves being involved in music ministry at church and encouraging students to get involved at their churches.
