High School Choir
Further developing our student’s God-given talents
WMA High School Choir members are students in 7th thru 12th grade. Choir members explore a wide range of musical styles, including Latin, Classical (Baroque, Romantic, and 20th Century), Folk, Spirituals, Classic Broadway, Patriotic, and Sacred Arrangements.
All new students audition for voice quality and part placement. Prior choral experience or advanced music reading skills are not required, but students must be able to sing on pitch.
Membership is determined by the director. Students may be invited to participate in smaller ensembles. There is no additional fee for ensemble membership.
Along with the other Woodridge Music Academy ensembles and choirs, the High School Choir performs a Fall or Christmas concert, a Spring Concert and at various community events throughout the school year.
Woodridge high school students as a choir, individually and/or in various groups from Woodridge Music Academy, as well as, students from all over the Midwest, have the opportunity to compete in our annual
WMA Fine Arts Competition in Elletsville, Indiana. Competition is a full day event that takes place early in the month of March that hundreds of students, and their families, look forward to every year!
