Middle & High School Choirs

MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL CHOIRS

Further developing our student’s God-given talents

WMA Middle School Choir is for students in 5th thru 7th grade. WMA High School Choir members are students in 8th thru 12th grade. Students sing a variety of genres including Latin, Classical (which includes Baroque, Romantic, and 20th Century) Folk, Spirituals, Classic Broadway, Patriotic, and Sacred Arrangements.

All new students audition for voice quality and part placement. Students do not need to have choral experience or strong reading skills, but
must have the ability to sing on pitch. Membership is at the discretion of the director. Students may audition or be asked to join smaller ensembles. There is no additional cost for ensemble membership.

Along with the other Woodridge Music Academy ensembles and choirs, the Middle School and High School Choirs perform a Fall or Christmas concert, a Spring Concert and at various community events throughout the school year.

Our middle school and high school students as a choir, individually and/or in various groups from Woodridge Music Academy, as well as, students from all over the Midwest, have the opportunity to compete in our annual  WMA Fine Arts Competition in Elletsville, Indiana. Competition is a full day event that takes place early in the month of March that hundreds of students, and their families, look forward to every year!
