Our Philosophy
Woodridge Music Academy offers quality music and drama education to home school families in the Central Indiana area. We are a faith-based music and drama academy that desires to teach students to develop and master their God-given talents and abilities to be used in their local churches.
For many home school families, music opportunities are not readily available. The classes offered by the academy help to give these students a broader educational experience, while developing the student musically, socially, and spiritually. Each class is taught by a degreed music teacher and is developmentally designed to teach age-appropriate musical skills. Students are taught the disciplines of music reading and vocal techniques while developing leadership skills and team camaraderie.
Our History
Woodridge Music Academy, located in Martinsville, IN, was founded in 2007 by Lauri Wood as a choral component to the Central Indiana Home School Band under the direction of Mr. Dana Heidenreich. In 2013, the choir became a separate music academy with an annual enrollment of over 100 students.
Our Growth
Growth and expansion will always be important to Woodridge Music Academy. Today we offer three education pathways for students from young beginners through adults. 2022 brought the exciting addition of a String Ensemble program!
